Old Fashioned Banana Bread
Today I’m sharing my go-to recipe for banana bread with you! It’s actually the recipe my mom has used for banana muffins since I was a kid, but the last few years I’ve been making it into banana bread! It’s truly your old fashioned banana bread recipe.
Old Fashioned Banana Bread
3 bananas (mashed)
1 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup of oil
1 egg
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt (honestly, I just take the salt shaker and shake a bit in)
chocolate chips (as many or as few as you wish!)
Mash bananas in a mixing bowl. Then add the sugar, egg, and oil. Mix well.
Next add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and mix together.
Stir in chocolate chips if using (lots of times I’ll just sprinkle on top once I get the batter in the pan!).
Line a loaf pan with parchment & add batter.
Bake at 350º for approximately 45-60min (depends on your oven - bake until toothpick comes out clean!).
