Podcasts I’m Listening To
Do you listen to podcasts? I seem to get on a kick for a while, then I stop, and then I’ll pick it up again. Right now I’m in a season where I’m listening to podcasts almost every day. I’ll generally listen to a podcast when I’m cleaning up the kitchen (either at nap time or after the kids have gone to bed) and occasionally if I’m in the car by myself.
I always love hearing about what others are listening to, so I thought it’d be fun to share a few of the ones that are on my list. These are just a few of my current go-to’s:
Don’t Mom Alone - This is one of my favourite “mom” podcasts! Heather interviews so many great people with so many great topics as it pertains to parenting, well being, faith, and that #momlife. I stumbled upon it a few years ago (back then it was called “God Centered Mom”) and I always keep going back to it as I find it very resourceful.
The Lazy Genius - Kendra gives so many wonderful tips on her podcast and I love her tagline: “be a genius about the things that matter, and lazy about the things that don’t”. Sounds great, doesn’t it? She recently came out with a book called “The Lazy Genius Way” and it’s on my list to read this year. If you’ve never listened to her podcast before I’d recommend starting with episode #200 where she talks about and points to her most popular episodes. It gives you a good place to start. Oh, and you can find her online here.
Made For This - Jennie Allen is a bible teacher/speaker, as well as an author, and her podcast is full of truth and wisdom. I have yet to read any of her books but her newest one, “Get Our of Your Head”, is also on my list to hopefully read at some point this year.
Rhythms for Life - If you remember from my new year post I talked about Rebekah Lyons & her book “Rhythms for Life”. This podcast is somewhat of a spin off the book. She and her husband Gabe take on various topics. Topics tend to revolve around the 4 rhythms referred to in her book: rest, restore, connect & create.
That Sounds Fun - If you haven't heard of Annie F. Downs you definitely need to check her out! I mean, I don’t know her personally, but there’s no mistaking she’s so much fun! I got to hear her speak at a women’s conference at our church a couple years ago & I just loved her. I’ve also read a couple of her books & her podcast never disappoints. She’s also fun to follow along on Instagram. I think you’ll like her too!
Other podcasts frequently in my rotation: Risen Motherhood, The Better Life Project, The Simplified Podcast & The Happy Hour w/Jamie Ivey.
Like I said, these are just a few of the ones on my go-to list (maybe I’ll do another round-up at some point). Now it’s your turn. I’m always on the hunt for new ones to listen to, so I’d love to hear what podcasts are in your line up these days! Share away!
