Our Go-To Green Smoothie
Lately, my kids and I have been making smoothies to have for a mid-morning or afternoon snack. I find the days they have a smoothie, paired with something else, they stay full a little longer. Not to mention, it’s a great way to get some fruit (and veggies!) into them without any complaints.
These days our go-to smoothie has been a green one. And, you know what’s great? They actually ask me to make this one. It makes me feel like I’m #winning (a teeny tiny bit) at this whole motherhood thing.
Here’s how we make ours:
1 cup of water
handful of frozen kale (approx. 1 cup)
1 cup of frozen mango
1 banana (frozen or not)
splash of orange juice (approx. 1/4 cup)
fresh ginger (I keep a hunk of ginger in the freezer & grate some in)
3-4 large dollops of vanilla greek yogurt
Blend it all up & enjoy!
***These are all approximate measurements so you may need to tweak it a bit depending on the quantity you’re making.
What’s the go-to smoothie in your house?
